So who’s this Lawrence character, and why does he think anyone would want to read this?

Playing RPGs for a quarter of a century, it’s difficult not to form some ideas and opinions regarding the genre.  My brain is overflowing with such thoughts, and they have no practical use in my everyday life.  Because I am (i) reasonably articulate, (ii) moderately Web savvy, and (iii) extremely narcissistic, starting a blog on the subject was a no-brainer.
